The V2R Pause Pledge
As a community we commit to :
Pausing smartphones until 14
Pausing social media until16

The Pledge
This pledge is a way to band together with other parents in your kids grade to agree to delay getting your child a smartphone until at least 14 years old, and social media until 16.

It’s all about strength in numbers if your child knows that other kids in their class won’t be getting a smartphone for a few years either, the peer pressure instantly dissolves.

It takes 30 seconds to sign the Parent Pact, and the more of us who do, the quicker we'll change the social norm.
* If your school is not listed please contact us via Whatsapp Here.
By signing this Pact, you’re joining a growing community of parents choosing to wait to give their child a smartphone until at least 14, and social media until 16.

The Pact is anonymous (we will never share your name publicly).
The more families who sign, the easier it is to shift the social norm in our community.
This is not about prohibition.
It’s about pausing, responsibility, unity, intention, and courage.
Together we can raise a generation that is healthier, more present, and better prepared.
📌 Why wait?
Many child psychologists recommend delaying smartphones and social media until the mid-teens. Waiting supports healthy development and reduces the pressures and mental-health risks linked to early use.
📱 Note: Choosing a basic phone or watch (calls/texts/GPS only) still qualifies—you can sign the Pact.
