About the event
Delaying smartphones is only half the story. What do we fill the space with?
When we choose to delay smartphones, we create an opportunity for something just as important: building stronger, more meaningful connections with our children.
But what does that connection actually look like in everyday life? And how can we move beyond the familiar "fine" or "nothing" when we ask our children about their day?
In this special Village to Raise conversation, Dr. Sarah Tannenbaum,PsyD and Dr. Rachel Kim, PhDÂ will explore the importance of parent-child connection and introduce Special Time, a practice used in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
Together, we'll explore the research and principles behind this approach, its benefits, and practical tools parents can use to strengthen relationships with their children.
